See lagundab aiaj\u00e4\u00e4tmeid, puiduhaket, v\u00e4ikseid oksi, puulehti, kuumt\u00f6\u00f6tlemata orgaanilisi j\u00e4\u00e4tmeid, s\u00f5nnikut, \u00f5lgi, v\u00e4hendab oluliselt umbrohuseemnete idanemist, parandab komposti kvaliteeti ja mikrobioloogilist aktiivsust. Orgaaniline l\u00e4mmastik ja s\u00fcsinik muudetakse taimedele kasutatavaks. Kompost kuumeneb kuni 60 \u00b0C, kui algab bioloogiline lagunemisprotsess. Kui kompostimass on v\u00e4henenud 50% v\u00f5rra, on lahtine ja v\u00e4rske mullal\u00f5hnaga, v\u00f5ib seda kasutada mulla rikastamiseks. Valmis komposti kasutamine taastab mulla viljakuse, parandab mulla struktuuri ja f\u00fc\u00fcsikalisi omadusi ning suurendab mulla orgaanilise aine sisaldust. Muld imab ja s\u00e4ilitab paremini vett, pakkudes taimedele pikka aega kergesti k\u00e4ttesaadavaid toitaineid.<br>Biokomposter takistab edukalt ebameeldivate l\u00f5hnade tekkimist ka kuivades tualettruumides.
